STUDY RESULTS: BAICAPIL™ Effectiveness on Hair Growth
Baicapil™ - A Revolutionary, Plant-based Complex
Crafted from a potent blend of Scutellaria baicalensis, soy, and wheat germ extracts, it targets the hair follicles to invigorate and protect them from senescence and oxidative stress
Proven effective through rigorous in vitro and in vivo studies, Baicapil™ offers a significant increase in hair density, accelerates the transition into the growth phase, and minimizes hair fall. Ideal for those seeking a natural solution to hair thinning, Baicapil™ promises a healthier, denser, and more vibrant hair appearance, marking a new era in hair care science.
Mechanism of Action:
- Increases Cellular Energy: Supplies follicles with sugars to boost cellular activity.
- Activates TERT: Essential for the activation and functioning of stem and progenitor cells, thus promoting hair growth.
- Protects from Senescence: Limits oxidative stress and delays cellular aging.

STUDY METHOD:
Crafted from a potent blend of Scutellaria baicalensis, soy, and wheat germ extracts, it targets the hair follicles to invigorate and protect them from senescence and oxidative stress
Models:
The study was conducted on 61 volunteers aged between 18 and 60 years who have alopecia with a specific hair loss ratio (A/T<4). There were two groups: 30 volunteers used a placebo, and 31 volunteers used Baicapil™. The treatment consisted of applying the product once a day on the scalp for six months. The Baicapil™ lotion had a concentration of 3% compared to the placebo.
Parameters:
The study measured various indicators of hair health and growth, including:
- Observation of the hair follicle
- The number of hairs in the anagen (growth) phase
- The number of hairs in the telogen (resting) phase
- The A/T ratio, which is likely the anagen to telogen hair ratio, a measure of hair growth cycles
- Hair density
- Hair fall or hair loss
- The overall condition of the hair
General Hair Condition

A:T Ratio
Measurements by trichograms. The number of follicles in each of the two phases, anagen and telogen, is determined by direct observation. Between 15 and 25 follicles are extracted from a defined area of the scalp.
Experts consider that a person with an anagen/telogen (A/T) ratio greater than or equal to 4 does not suffer from alopecia.
The number of hair in Anagen increase while the number of hair in Telogen decrease. Which leads to high increasement in A:T Ratio
Hair LOSS
Comb and wash test: The volunteer is combed by the technician. The hair that falls out or remains on the comb is collected. Then, the volunteer’s hair is washed by the technician under conditions that allow for the recovery of the hair that falls out during the washing process. The hair that falls out during combing and the hair that falls out during washing are collected and counted to assess the total number of hairs lost.
Baicapil™ reduces hair loss during combing as early as 3 months.
Hair Density
Hair density refers to the number of hairs per unit of surface area (cm²). Scalp microphotography (TrichoScan® microcamera) involves manual counting of hairs over a 0.25cm² area, followed by extrapolation to the number of hairs per cm².
Baicapil™ increases hair density by up to 28.2%, which is more than 38,000 additional hairs. On average 12,500 more hairs.

Baicapil™ increases the density of the hair.
Observation of the hair follicle
After treatment Day 180, we observe:
- Increased activity in the matrix area (the darker zone).
- More significant development of the epithelial sheath (thicker).
- A larger bulb and a thicker hair fiber.
Baicapil™ redensifies the bulb and increases the thickness of the hair.
